Swiftly you turn away,
As I don't figure an identity.
The gaze petrified,
As it never met my eye.
The cheeks drink the pain,
Flowing down.
I grapple with you,
Not being around.
Not so long ago,
We sat beside.
Not so long ago,
Our hands brushed by.
We waded through the crowds,
Together by one's side.
Now,
I call your name,
Again and again,
Out loud to myself
To not make you aware.
I speak but you can't hear my voice.
I have faded to a place,
Where your memories and absence alight.
Letters to your name,
Are written every now and then.
I only you could read,
My consistent plight.
I open my heart,
To sunshine and moonlight.
Letting you know,. Would be worldly delight.
You, my friend, are truly loved.
Since when, by me,
Remains unexplained.
Indifference on your part,
Hasn't shaken my zest.
Though it hurts when you don't turn,
To see me back.
